Apple has been listing job announcements for search engineers recently on its official website. This leads to some speculations that Apple is developing its own search engine like google and bing. It’s possibility arises with a fact that safari is the number one web browser in the US.
Apple is likely to integrate its own search engine as the default one in safari, siri, homepod and every other Apple products that utilize search queries. Right now, google is the default search engine for both safari and Siri with it paying 3 billion dollars every year to google as a part of the deal. Siri used bing as the default search for several years before switching to google in 2017.

Although, Apple is a two trillion dollar public company, they are changing their tactics to explore a couple of new revenue streams like gaming, subscription services, and now the search engine.
Whether it fails or succeeds is up to the userbase. But as of right now, we can only hope that it turns out to be true that they are building a google competitor that just might be the second largest search engine, beating bing, if everything goes according to the plan.
