Burning CD/DVD means to copy files to the CD/DVD. Previously, copying files to CD/DVD required a separate software but after the introduction of Windows 7, a built-in burning option was available which reduced the dependency on external software for burning. We can copy files to CD or DVD on Windows 8 and windows 10 in couple of minutes without any external software.
How to copy files to CD or DVD on Windows 8 and 10 burnt in CD/DVD through the following steps:
Step 1: Insert a blank CD/DVD and open the CD/DVD drive.
Step 2. A dialogue box will appear with two radio button options. Select “With a CD/DVD Player and click Next. You can also name the disc as you wish by replacing the texts in “Disc title” field.
Step 3: You are now taken inside the CD/DVD drive which is empty. Drag or copy-paste the files you want to copy to the CD or DVD from its location.
Step 4: Go to the “Manage” option in the Menu bar and select “Finish Burning” present in the right of the options.
Step 5: You will then get the option to change the title of the disc and choose the speed at which the burning process occurs. Enter the name of the disc and the recording speed as per your need and press Next.
Step 6: Wait till the burning process completes and displays with the completion message. Click the “Finish” option.
